IMMIGRATION
- The standards of immigration are fluctuating and held either in
disregard or applied arbitrarily by the agencies administering them
creating a great deal of confusion for all concerned.
- One example of this is a statement by Gov. Mike Leavitt from
Utah that there are several thousands of “Illegal Immigrants” to
support the job requirements of the tourist and hotel industry.
This is a most hypocritical position that creates an enslaved
populace who contribute to this countries welfare with no
meaningful relation to the benefits deserved for that
participation.
- It would seem only reasonable to expect that any having such
knowledge would be in violation of the law as a co-conspirator in
these acts and should be held accountable.
- It should be the policy of this country that anyone who works
here receives full working status through granting of proper visas
and green cards or citizenship.
- Eliminate unfair trade practices that force people into poverty
such as with Mexico where we subsidize corn in the US and sell in
Mexico at prices that are cheaper than the Citizens of Mexico can
sell on their own market.
I support a three phase immigration
policy:
- Phase 1. I support fines and prison terms to any one and/or any
business that hires an undocumented worker.
There is no such thing as an “illegal alien” - there are
undocumented workers who are illegally employed by American
businesses which currently are not being held accountable for whom
they hire. Any person or company who hires undocumented workers are
breaking the law and should be fined and/or imprisoned and loose
their license to do business.
- Phase 2. Any undocumented worker currently working in this
country has the right to the maximum wage and benefits available
under current law and to apply for US citizenship; this shall be
implemented over a 1-year phase in of this policy. After this
period, any undocumented workers should be deported.
If jobs are available, job permits should be granted to qualified
“non-citizens” via “work permits” for a term that is conducive to
the completion of the job; term of employment and other aspects of
these “work permits” shall be modified to allow for priory
employment of US citizens.
- Work with other countries to create economic parity and open
boarders policies. (Use the European Union as a model.)

I support open borders in the long view, however, before open
borders: first, establish criteria like
No wars
No abusive child
labor
No subsidies and
bailouts by any country
This must be a gradual process.
