FAIR TRADE INITIATIVES

• It is the unfair trade practices between nations that create massive poverty and suffering in the world and this nation see http://globalexchange.org/ and their Fair Trade Certification initiative.
  1. I support global fair trade initiatives which allow each community the economic power to secure clean food, clean water, clean air, clothing, shelter, education and healthcare with humane working conditions which promote “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” everywhere
     
  2. I oppose withdrawal from the United Nations.
     
  3. I support developing a foreign policy that does not promote racial and
     economic terrorism. Our current War in Iraq, and “war on terrorism” are extensions of a foreign Policy which began before 1953 which saw the US involvement of in the covert coup of a fledgling democracy in Iran; in 1954, the overthrow of democracies in Chile and Guatemala; etc.
     
  4. I support a foreign and domestic economic policy which will hold accountable any US company found abusing any country's environment or citizens through inhumane or socially irresponsible practices, including child slavery and/or abusive labor and/or dangerous environmental processes; such US companies shall be subject to fines and claims for restoration and damages and subject to loosing their licenses to do business in the US.
