Being Human
Party
Non-Governmental Organizations
"NGO" is an acronym for "Non-Governmental Organization" which is
often a non-profit or a not-for-profit organization. They are
generally comprised of individuals of passion whose mission is to
fulfill a need in the human community that is either being
threatened or not addressed adequately by governments. They promote
the issues and/or the solutions to the problems they see and bring
a broader awareness and resources to bear to help resolve those
issues While you may be unfamiliar with the name "NGO," you are
probably familiar with "NGO" organizations, like the Red Cross,
Christian Children's Fund, Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy,
MoveOn.org, the Boy Scouts of America, the Girl Scouts of America,
the YMCA, local community theater groups, environmental groups,
human rights organizations, . and the "NGO" list goes on.
Since the end of World War II, there have been over one million
"NGOs" that have evolved in United States of America alone. It is
interesting to note that since that time, corporations and special
interests have increasingly played a tremendous role in influencing
the politics our country, both domestically and internationally and
often to the detriment of the human experience.
In today's era of global communications, we are presented with
possibilities never before available. Issues and solutions
otherwise unseen and ignored can be investigated and exposed, and
viable solutions can be implemented and tested. "NGOs" world over
are fulfilling needs and bringing direction, hope and promise to a
world of human beings, otherwise informed and controlled by
government or corporate policy and information. We would also hope
that "NGOs" world over will be guideposts and resources to those in
political and Corporate offices to give direction and compassion to
the Human Being needs.
The Being Human Party is creating several pathways for
individuals to contribute time, talents and resources toward
working solutions while reaching into their passions.
1. Promote and participate with those
NGOs that support human rights and the human experience at its
highest ideals and highlight those experiences on our web
sites.
2. Develop an NGO Yellow Pages
directory and Photo Gallery.
3. Create as many venues such as the
Circle of Truth Tour as possible in which to highlight "NGOs",
small businesses and other organizations that advance the Being
Human experience in the World Peace context.
4. Promote the development and sale of
Earth friendly and human friendly programs, products and
services.
These pathways could be bulletin boards for internships, paid
positions, accredited courses, workshops, seminars, etc. bringing
people of passion, together with one or more "NGOs" that may assist
you in creating more value in your life and in the lives of the
members of our communities.
